Nail polish in carpeting???

How do you get nail polish out of carpeting? I spilt purple nail polish all over my white carpeting and a bunch of clothes! Any ideas of how to get it out and make it look like it was never there?Nail polish in carpeting???
straight acetone. I have a three year old who ';painted' her finger nails the other day and got it all over my quilt and carpeting. It took a whole bottle of acetone to do the job, but it comes out. I can't even see where the spill was. You can purchase Acetone from walmart for about $2.Nail polish in carpeting???
Remove Nail Polish Stains From:

Carpet/Synthetic, Carpet/Wool

Scrape as much of the excess as you can without forcing it into the pile. Apply amyl acetate to the stain and cover with an absorbent pad dampened with amyl acetate. Keep moist and let stand for about 15 minutes, blotting occasionally. Scrape to help loosen the stain. Flush carefully with a dry-cleaning solvent or Afta Cleaning Fluid. Allow to thoroughly dry.
