First go to the www.opi/com/ web site and pick the ';Try on this color polish'; and choose from one of the five light to dark skin tones. Then choose your favorites, reds, pinks, etc. and whichever color you choose the virtual model's fingernails color will change. This way you can decide which color s work best on your nails.





Then, if you can find a Sephora cosmetic store, they have a sephora by opi display which has 54 different color samplers which you can try-on your nails or cotton pads they provide with nail polish remover. Myself, I love, ';don't go there'; which is a muted purple color, but I have medium to light skin tones. LOL
if you like deep red, by all means, go deep red, but i've always found dark navy blues and deep plums, purples, and burgundy to look beautiful with tan skin.

I have kind of dark tan skin, %26amp; Idk if this is considered ';funky'; but I am wearing yellow-gold and it looks absolutley AMAZING.


you can try a yellow base and add gold sparkles,


I think silver would look nice too.
i think bright colors contrast well with dark tans. i love a vibrant orange or pink with a tan. but, to each her own. if you like the reds, try a shade that is a bit more vivid, not deep, and see if you can stand it...
A Coral color looks great with tan skin.





Also, french manicures look great with any skin color. Not to mention, they look classic and go with everything.
burgundy. its just a beautiful color, specially in the winter. pink is great too for the summer. i think any color will look great as long as is the right season
bright reds, purple, pink, and i dont know if you would like it but blue. we probably have a similar skin tone and blue looks really cool.
light pink. it makes your skin look amazing especially when it's shinny. im wearing some right now it makes your skin look bright and a nice color.
I love dark reds too.. to the point where it look almost black.


For me, bright colors don't match on me. I have tan skin too.
white would really stand out against your skin :)


and if you did like, red polka dots or something, it'd look really cool!
Purple, light blue, baby pink and green would all look great on dark tanned skin!!
