The most beautiful Navy Blue nailpolish I've come across is called ';Russian Navy'; from the OPI line of nail polishes. You should be able to find it at a beauty supply store in the mall.

You could change the LED color. I don;t see why not. You may void your warranty if you do. Never heard of anyone using nail polish. There is less heat than a regular bulb. I accidentally spilled red nail polish on beige carpet. I stupidly tried rubbing it with remover and it lightened the stain a little but also made it spread. I can't go to the store right now, so does anyone have anything I might have at home to get rid of the stain? Get some Barbasol shaving cream. It has to be Barbasol brand. Spray the shaving cream onto the carpet and stain. Rub it in well with your fingers. Rub it dry with a paper towel.

hi, if you go to www.caringconsumer.org, they have pages and pages of companies that do not test on animals along with companies that do test on animals.
all companies owned under estee lauder (such as MAC, clinique, origins, la mer, bobbi brown, aveda, bumble and bumble, etc.) do not use animals in laboratories. revlon (and almay) do not test on animals.
however, all companies owned by proctor and gamble (head and shoulders, clariol, crest, frederick fekkai, cover girl, olay, etc.) do test on animals. other companies are maybelline, l'oreal (who also owns lancome), neutrogena, unilever.
you can email caringconsumer.org or peta.org and they will send you packets of information and a little booklet with names of companies that do not test on animals, very useful when shopping!

however, all companies owned by proctor and gamble (head and shoulders, clariol, crest, frederick fekkai, cover girl, olay, etc.) do test on animals. other companies are maybelline, l'oreal (who also owns lancome), neutrogena, unilever.
you can email caringconsumer.org or peta.org and they will send you packets of information and a little booklet with names of companies that do not test on animals, very useful when shopping!

What is the source of fading? If it is just for everyday type of fading then what you should do is paint each finger nail with a different nail polish and then take a picture of your nails as soon as you get done painting them and each hour affter that. I think they do make a difference, but really only while you are wearing them. I have only tried the ones that are just like clear nail polish, and they look really nice, they give your nails a shine that looks wonderful. I would definitly recommend trying them, even if it is just for the look.

Removing nail polish w/o nail polish remover?
Since I am unable to get nail polish remover, and my friend painted my nails last night (yeah, dumb choice) but I've scratched a lot of it off. But some of it still won't come off! Anyone have any suggestions, please? Thanks.Removing nail polish w/o nail polish remover?

You could get a long, thin piece of glass cut to your specific measurements, and mount that against a window so that the light would shine through each bottle.
Also, perhaps, a made-to-measure cubic (like noughts and crosses) shelf with perhaps 20 square boxes to hold each bottle, against a mirrored background.
Or a bare branch from which you could artistically hang the bottles.

What get nail polish off jeans?
Soak the spot with nail polish remover (just on the spot), run your finger nail over it a bit to dissolve, then press some paper towels on either side of the fabric to absorb the liquid with the polish dissolved in it. Might have to repeat a couple of times.

If my favorite polish is getting a little thick I put a drop or two of polish remover in the bottle to thin it out. I also put a BB in the bottle to help mix the polish. I now must wear pantyhose for work, and at $30 a pair (Wolfords, the best!) I hate it when they run (not very often as compared to cheaper brands, but it does happen.) I am careful about my nails, and that helps too.

okay for the nails do like this shimmery white and then take a little bobby pin and split it so it's a long ';stick'; then dip in in the color of blue (dress blue) and make one dot in the top side of your nail then do 5 dots around it. that will create a flower and it's really easy.

I think the best thing is a french manicure. But if you don't want to have a french manicure all summer here is what I do:
I paint my nails with french manicure polish. Then I take a thin acrylic overlay to protect it. Then if you choose to wear a different color that matches your outfit all you have to do is apply two coats over the french manicure to change the color.
Then if you want to go back to the french manicure all you have to do is use NON-ACETONE nail polish to take of the polish and then you will have your french manicure back.
This is so convenient because french manicure goes with anything and if you don't have time to polish your nails you can still have a great look for summer.
All of my nail clients love this! Give it a try!

Well if you take a salt and water solution, that you mix of course, and rub its VERY well around the skin and nail. Let dry. This will kill the bacteria that cause your nail polish to come off. Now, apply the polish. After it is on and is dry, take some more of the mixture(adding vinegar[preferably white] will also be helpful) and let your fingers soak in it for about 5 minutes. Hints, fingernail polish remover will just worsen the problem. I use pro active and i honestly see no improvement in my skin. Clearasil makes acne vanishing cream that you can wear to sleep and school. I love it. Practically works overnight and it's only like 4 bucks when my proactive isn't even working and it was like 65.
