Nail polish remover problem!! help!?

I accidentally spillded nail polish remover on my wood kitchen table its a lighter wood and the stain from it is about 4 inches both ways with some splatter marks, my friends mom said that i can get this stuff at joan fabrics for it to make the white go away. any other suggestions? I cant drive yet but i can walk 2 joans. i need to this before my mom gets home! helppNail polish remover problem!! help!?
might be best just to fess up. then you and mom can plan the best way to fix it.
